Save the Bears Bowl

For my final year university project I did it about the endangerment of bears. In order to show the diversity of the endangerments bears face globally I decided to create unique ceramics to represent each of these.

This Bowl represents the deforestation of trees, taking away the habitat of bears in order to plant crops for farmers.

This was a fairly easy ceramic to make and the first bowl I had constructed. I went with the 'pinch' method to make this bowl as I was working with air dry clay.

This meant I would not have to work about using a kiln and could make this bowl with the resources i had to hand.

I chose these colours as they complimented each other and would not distract from the bear, which should be the focus.
